How it works
01
Check a candidate's name, NIN, or photo against the national register. A clean result means no live caution record — sign in for the full, verified check.
02
Filing a caution record requires supporting evidence and a second person's sign-off — no single account can submit and approve the same report.
03
Every record carries a block-out date. TheRegister sets the ceiling; nothing keeps a record searchable past it, and a reported individual can dispute a mistaken entry.
Security firms, estates, and staffing agencies place and re-place the same pool of workers across many clients. TheRegister gives every organisation in that chain — the placing agency, the receiving client, the estate management office — the same verified view of a candidate's history.
Every search and report is logged, attributable, and auditable — never anonymous.
A maker–checker rule on every submission: no single account can both file and approve a report.
Records aren't permanent. A block-out date, set by TheRegister and never extended by an individual organisation, retires every record automatically.
